Data Governance is a concern of Data owners in an Organization who have an interest in how data is created, collected, manipulated, made available for use or retired. Data governance relates to the authority these owners have and their decision making process. More specifically, Data Governance is "a system of decision rights and accountabilities for information-related processes, executed according to agreed-upon models which describe who can take what actions with what information, and when, under what circumstances, using what methods."
